Rund has been appointed by Thriving Investments as Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works on a major forward-funded scheme in Langley Park, Chippenham.
The project, delivered in partnership with Resi Homes Limited – a Registered Provider of social housing – and Vistry Partnerships, will bring forward 167 new affordable homes. The development includes a mix of houses and apartments, with 159 for shared ownership and eight for affordable rent.
Built to EPC A standards using a fabric-first approach, the shared ownership homes will incorporate photovoltaics, EV charging points, and private outdoor space for all units.
Rund’s Employer’s Agent team is leading on representing Thriving Investments’ interests from the early stages of the project, managing contractual obligations, commercial oversight, and ensuring the scheme stays on track both in terms of programme and budget. This strategic role helps to navigate the complexities of working with multiple stakeholders across the development.
Supporting this, Rund’s Clerk of Works team is providing detailed, independent quality inspections throughout the construction phase. Their technical monitoring and regular site visits are key to upholding high standards, reducing defects, and ensuring quality delivery across the board.
The new homes are being delivered on a brownfield site previously occupied by Westinghouse Brakes, a former British railway engineering firm.
