Rund is pleased to announce the appointment of two new team members as we continue to grow our presence across the Midlands and London. Nafeel Khan has joined our Birmingham office as Senior Surveyor, and Sam James has joined our London office as Surveyor.
Nafeel brings extensive experience leading complex construction, refurbishment, and infrastructure projects as a Project Manager. Having held roles at leading construction consultancies, he has a proven track record of managing the full project lifecycle, from inception to completion, using both traditional and agile methodologies. His expertise includes interpreting and managing NEC and JCT contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk throughout all development phases.
Alongside his professional experience, Nafeel holds a master’s degree in Project and Infrastructure Management from Brunel University and a RICS-accredited bachelor’s degree in Construction Project Management from Aston University. Demonstrating his commitment to continuous improvement, he is currently undertaking PMP and AgilePM training.
Sam has nearly four years' experience in Building Surveying, with recent roles at major consultancies. His strong commitment to professional growth and development is demonstrated through his current progression on the CIOB PDP pathway, with plans to commence his APC in the near future. This is further supported by his RICS-accredited bachelor’s degree in Property Development and Management from the University of Greenwich.
With his background, Sam’s strengths lie in contract administration, condition surveys, insurance reinstatements, and defects diagnosis. His appointment will provide valuable support to Rund’s Building Surveying team, helping to deliver high-quality services to clients and strengthen the team's technical expertise.
